The 21st. century requires intense understanding of self-qualities, self-efficacy and interests so as to ensure a successful job search and career development. The Job Interest Inventory is constructed based upon career development and personality theories that focused upon self-efficacy, personal agency qualities, personal goals and social environment influence. The Job Interest Inventory provides the user and the career counsellor an immediate feedback about the user’s potential career preferences on six career environments that depicts the job market in the 21st. century.
The output provided by the software includes bar charts describing scores output for each of the six career environments: Outdoor, Artistic, Enterprising, Science & Technology, Indoor, and Social. The 3Ranking scales provides the user and career counsellors a guiding descriptors of the career possibilities envisage for the user. A career decision scale is also incorporated to provide the users their tentative decision on their career intent. A composite report is generated by the software as output for the purpose of record keeping and auditing of the user career development progress. |
